Glomus Tumour of the Tympanic Membrane
Glomus tumor blany bubienka
V práci sa prezentuje prípad veľmi zriedkavej lokalizácie glomus tumoru na blankebubienka. Pri otoskopickom vyšetrení lézia vyzerala ako granulačné tkanivo a nachádzala sav oblasti horných kvadrantov blany bubienka. V diferenciálnej diagnóze sa myslelo na chronickúotitídu, resp. granulomatóznu myringitídu. Definitívna diagnóza sa stanovila na základe histologického vyšetrenia. Tumor sa odstránil spolu s postihnutou časťou blany bubienka a priľahlou kožouvonkajšieho zvukovodu. Vykonala sa myringoplastika. Po pol roku je výborný anatomický výsledok.Funkčný výsledok - prevodová porucha sluchu 20 dB. Iná miestna alebo vzdialená lézia chemodektómu sa v tomto prípade nevyskytla.

The authors present the case of a very rare localization of a glomus tumour on thetympanic membrane. On otoscopic examination the lesions had the appearance of granulation tissueand was in the area of the upper quadrants of the tympanic membrane. In the differential diagnosisthe authors suspected chronic otitis and granulomatous myringitis resp. The final diagnosis wasbased on histological examination. The tumour was removed together with the affected portion ofthe tympanic membrane and adjacent skin of the external auditory meatus. Myringoplasty wasperformed. After six months the anatomical results is excellent. Functional result - conductionhearing disorder 20 dB. No other local or remote lesions of the chemodectoma was found in this case.
