Overview
Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type is very rare disease with aggressive behavior. It occurs more frequently in Asian countries, typically affects adults men. Disease is associated with Epstein-Barr virus infection. The incidence is usually unilateral with infiltration of the nasal turbinate and spread to surrounding tissues. In the early stages of the disease is manifested non-specific rhinitis or sinusitis and nasal obstruction. Among the late symptoms include epistaxis, facial swelling, ulceration soft tissue, or even painful middle facial destruction.
In our case, we present the clinical course of NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type in 24-year-old woman who was examined primarily due to unilateral nasal obstruction. The clinical findings, diagnosis and therapy of this rare disease are discussed.
