Methods of Olfactometry in Clinical Practice
Metody vyšetření čichu v klinické praxi
Klinické testování čichu nazýváme olfaktometrií.V článku se zabýváme jak subjektivnímitak objektivními metodami vyšetření čichu. Popisován je jejich vývoj v historických souvislostecha zmíněny jsou také metody používané dnes. Podrobněji je pak pojednáno o subjektivním testu,který byl vyvinut a je užíván v Německu (Sniffin’ sticks) a o testu rozšířeném v USA (UPSIT –University of Pensylvania Smell Identification Test).

The testing and measurement of the sensitivity of the sense of smell is called olfactometry.In the article we describe subjective and objective methods of olfactometry in historical survey andfocus on methods used today, especially on test developed and used in Germany (Sniffin’ sticks) andon test spread in the USA (USPIT – University of Pensylvania Smell Identification Test).
