Bell’s palsy is an acute peripheral unilateral facial nerve affection caused by herpetic viruses. The clinical picture varies from mononeuritic form to polyneuritic form with palsies of other cranial nerves and spinal sensitive roots with different grade of manifestation. Main goals of treatment are to speed complete recovery of facial nerve function and should be multidisciplinary. We present clinical analysis of 54 patients treated on ENT clinic in Košice during the period of 1999-2010 and case report of patient with Bell’s palsy and multiple cranial nerves palsy.
